Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.

Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, William Lee Martin, acting for the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 17th day of July, 1939.

SCHEDULE.

COLYTON - TE ARAKURA BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.

All that area of land lying within the Counties of Kairanga, Oroua, and Pohangina and bounded by a line commencing at the point where the boundary-lines of the Manawatu, Oroua, and Kairanga Counties converge at the Borough of Feilding; thence continuing along the Kairanga County boundary-line in a southerly direction to the point where it meets the Rangitikei Line; thence along the said line in an easterly direction to meet the Newbury Line; thence continuing along the Newbury Line in a northerly direction to meet the Nannstead Line; thence continuing along the Nannstead Line in a like direction to meet Reid’s Line at Section 46, Manchester District; thence continuing along the northern boundaries of Sections 46, 47, and 70, Manchester District; thence along the northern boundaries of Sections 15 and 22, Block IV, Kairanga Survey District, to meet Watershed Road; thence along the western side of the said road in a northerly direction to meet Midland Road at the junction of Ulysses Road; thence continuing along Midland Road in a northerly and thence in a westerly direction to meet Valley Road; thence from this point in an easterly direction along the Valley Road to meet Zigzag Road; thence along this latter road in a northerly direction to meet Pollock’s Road; thence along Pollock’s Road in a westerly direction to the point where it meets the Oroua River; thence along the eastern bank of the said river in a southerly direction downstream to the point where it meets the boundary of the Borough of Feilding at the original point of commencement.

LINTON BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.

All that area of land lying entirely within the County of Kairanga and bounded by a line commencing at the point where the boundary-line between the Counties of Kairanga and Pohangina crosses the Manawatu River; thence following the eastern bank of the said river downstream to the point where the river crosses the boundary-line between the Counties of Kairanga and Manawatu; thence following the Kairanga County boundary in an easterly direction; thence in a northerly direction to the point where it again meets the Manawatu River at the Manawatu Gorge; thence continuing further along the county boundary in a southerly direction and thence in a westerly direction to the point where it crosses the Manawatu River, the original point of commencement.
