CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY.

NOTICE is hereby given that Europa Distributors, Limited, has changed its name to A. F. Tidswell, Limited, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

THE WELLINGTON CITY DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE LOAN, 1928, RENEWAL LOAN, 1939.

Resolution making Special Rate.

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday, the 3rd day of July, 1939:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts, powers, and authorities it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of sixty-eight thousand pounds (£68,000), to be known as the Wellington City Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1928, Renewal Loan, 1939, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the Wellington City Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1928, which matures on the 1st day of November, 1939, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-five eight hundredths of a penny (550d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 1st day of November, 1939, or until the loan is fully paid off."

BRODERICK AND COMPANY, LIMITED.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of BRODERICK AND COMPANY, LIMITED, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at 14–16 Harris Street, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of Brodrick and Company, Limited, will be held on Tuesday, the 25th day of July, 1939, at which a resolution for a voluntary winding up is to be proposed and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the registered office of the company, 14–16 Harris Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, the 25th day of July, 1939, at 12 o'clock noon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be read before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 30th day of June, 1939, presented to the said Court by George Prentice, of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland in the Dominion of New Zealand, Brassfinisher, and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 28th day of July, 1939, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person, or by his counsel, for that purpose, and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
