NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Regulations Act, 1936, of the making of the above-entitled regulations under the above-entitled Act.

Serial number: 1939/87.

Date of enactment: 4th day of July, 1939.

Appointment of Inspector of Sea-fishing.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed

George Frederic Bonisch,

of Greymouth, to be an Inspector of Sea-fishing for the purposes of Part I of the first-mentioned Act.

George Maximillian Hare is granted a commission as Pilot Officer (on probation) and is posted to the Unattached List. Dated 5th May, 1939.

RESERVE OF OFFICERS.

Appointment.

Alfred John Turner is granted a commission in the rank of Flight Lieutenant (on probation) and is posted to the Reserve of Officers, Section I, Class A. Dated 21st May, 1939.

Transfer to Retired List.

Flight Lieutenant G. U. Allan is transferred to the Retired List with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 31st May, 1939.

REGULAR AIR FORCE.

Appointments and Postings.

Michael Sullivan Keogh, A.M., R.A.F.O., is granted a short service commission in the rank of Squadron Leader (on probation) and is posted to Air Headquarters for Engineering duties. Dated 15th June, 1939.

Malcolm Frederick Calder is granted a permanent commission in the rank of Squadron Leader (on probation) and is posted to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Wigram Aerodrome, for duty as Chief Flying Instructor. Dated 15th June, 1939.

Officer on Interchange from Royal Air Force.

Flight Lieutenant J. T. Brown, R.A.F., on interchange, arrived from England on 31st May, 1939, and is posted to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Wigram Aerodrome, for duty as Engineer Officer. Dated 31st May, 1939.

Confirmation in Rank.

Acting Pilot Officer T. F. Gill is confirmed in the rank of Pilot Officer. Dated 22nd June, 1939.

TERRITORIAL AIR FORCE.

CHRISTCHURCH TERRITORIAL SQUADRON.

Promotion.

Flight Lieutenant W. G. Coull is promoted to Squadron Leader and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Section I, Class A. Dated 15th June, 1939.

Appointment.

Ernest Laurie Page is granted a commission in the rank of Pilot Officer (on probation) and is posted to the Christchurch Territorial Squadron. Dated 21st June, 1939.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of Officers of the New Zealand Military Forces:—

STAFF AND COMMANDS.

Colonel G. McNamara, C.B.E., N.Z. Corps of Signals, relinquishes the appointment of Director of Signals and is posted to the Retired List with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 30th June, 1939.

John George Young (late Captain, New Zealand Expeditionary Force) to be Colonel, N.Z. Corps of Signals, and is appointed Director of Signals. Dated 1st July, 1939.

Captain B. Wicksteed, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, on proceeding to Australia to undergo a course of instruction, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 2nd Heavy Artillery Group. Dated 17th January, 1939.

Captain B. Wicksteed, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, having returned to New Zealand after undergoing a course of instruction in Australia, is appointed Adjutant, 2nd Anti-Aircraft Group. Dated 27th April, 1939.
