Increasing Borrowing-powers of Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-one of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926 (hereinafter called "the said Act"), that the Governor-General in Council may, on the application of any Fire Board established under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, and published in the Gazette on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, at page 1567, the powers of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board were extended, but not so as to exceed the sum of eighty-six thousand pounds:
And whereas application has been made by the said Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board for further extension of borrowing-powers and it is desirable to grant such request:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section thirty-one are hereby extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of two hundred and sixteen thousand pounds; provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and its amendments.

Amending an Order in Council uniting the Alexandra and Alexandra Town Belt Domains.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the second day of March, one thousand nine-hundred and thirty-eight, and published in Gazette of the third day of that month on page 397, the Alexandra and Alexandra Town Belt Domains were united to form one public domain, to be known as the Alexandra Domain:
And whereas an error was made in the description of the said Alexandra Town Belt Domain in the Second Schedule to the said Order in Council and it is expedient that the error should be rectified:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby amend the Second Schedule to the said Order in Council by substituting the description of the said Alexandra Town Belt Domain set forth in the Schedule hereto in lieu of the description of the said Alexandra Town Belt Domain set forth in the Second Schedule to the said Order in Council.
SCHEDULE.
ALEXANDRA TOWN BELT DOMAIN.
SECTION 84, Block I, Fraser Survey District: Area, 142 acres 1 rood, more or less.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 158 acres 3 roods 17 perches, more or less, being Town Belt and Section 3, Block XIX, Town of Alexandra: Bounded towards the north-east by Sections 1 and 2 (cemetery reserves), Block XXXVIII, of aforesaid Town, 2200 links; towards the north-west by aforesaid Section 2, 500 links; again towards the north-east by Block VII, Leaning Rock Survey District, 5145 links; towards the south-east by the Manuherikia River, 1030 links; towards the south-west by the Town of Alexandra, 6600 links; again towards the south-east by the Town of Alexandra, 10050 links; again towards the south-west by the Clutha River, 1375 links; and again towards the north-west by Block VII, Leaning Rock Survey District, 11350 links, excepting out of the above-described boundaries, Crookhaven Street, Otago Central Railway Reserve, and four road lines each 100 links wide, allowance for which has been made in the area; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/531c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hillsborough Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint The member of the Heathcote County Council representing the Hillsborough Riding, ex officio, Ernest Reynolds Adcock, Harry Nuttridge, Leonard Alexander Jarden, Walter Thomas Yarrall, Walter Brewer, George Henry Mildren, John Stanley Lewis, and Henry Vincent to be the Hillsborough Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, at half-past seven o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Pavilion, Hillsborough Domain, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in Mining Township of Golden Bar, Onamalutu Survey District, Marlborough Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 5th day of July, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for a site for a post-office over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
