Land proclaimed as Road, and Road closed, in Block IV, Maungaru Survey District, North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road: 39·8 perches.
Being portion of Lot 1, D.P. 25884, being part Section 7; coloured red. (S.O. plan 28089.)
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road closed:—

0 1 38 Lot 1, D.P. 25884, being Section 19 and part Section 7; coloured green. (S.O. plan 28089.)
0 2 16 Sections 13 and 20, and part Section 7; coloured green. (S.O. plan 28091.)
All situated in Block IV, Maungaru Survey District.
All in the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 36/761 A and B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2846, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of June, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act 1924, I George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Cheviot Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 roods 8 perches.
Adjoining Blocks XXIII and XXVI, Town of Mackenzie, Block VII, Cheviot Survey District. (S.O. plan 7060.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 48749A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2847, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of June, 1939.

Crown Land set apart for Disposal by way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—CROWN LAND.
Lot 1 on plan No. 12913, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, being part Section 139, Block V, Tapapa Survey District. Area: 297 acres 3 roods 8 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of June, 1939.

Directing Sale of Railway Land at Pongaroa under the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of June, 1939.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirty-fifth section of the Public Works Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor-General may, by Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
And whereas provision is made under the thirty-sixth section of the said Act, whereby any such land may, with the concurrence of the Governor-General, be sold on deferred payments extending over a period not exceeding five years:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto under the conditions set forth in the said Act; and doth hereby authorize, pursuant to the said section thirty-six, the acceptance of the purchase-price in instalments extending over a period not exceeding five years.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre.
Portion of Railway land (Section 45, Pongaroa Village Settlement), Block IX, Mount Cerberus Survey District, Akitio County. (S.O. 33/38.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5685, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
