Tangimoana is situated on the left bank of the Rangitikei River, about a mile from its confluence with the sea; the distance from Palmerston North is about twenty-seven miles, from Feilding about twenty-four miles, and from Bulls about fifteen miles, access being from the Greatford Railway-station by good motor-road. The sections are all open level grass land of good quality and are offered with a view to providing residential areas as a seaside resort.

Village Land in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Monday, 26th June, 1939.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, State Fire Building, Wellington, on Wednesday, 28th June, 1939, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, lease and mortgage fees, and amount of weighting for improvements.

Weighted with £220 for improvements, comprising dwelling (in need of repairs) and fencing. This sum is payable in cash, or provided the selector covenants to repair the dwelling to the satisfaction of the State Advances Corporation within twelve months from the date of selection, the full amount may remain on table mortgage for ten years, interest 4 ½ per cent. reducible to 4½ per cent. by quarterly instalments amounting to £6 18s. 7d. gross. Provided in each period of three months one-quarter of the repairs have been effected interest for the first twelve months will be remitted. Costs of preparation of the mortgage amount to £2 15s.

This section fronts Upane Road and is situated about three-quarters of a mile from Ohakune Railway-station. It is flat land, the soil being of good quality.
