Marshal of the Supreme Court appointed.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Walter Parker, Esquire,

to be a Marshal of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Nelson in respect of its jurisdiction as a Colonial Court of Admiralty under the Colonial Courts of Admiralty Act, 1890.

to be Registrar of Marriages and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Morrinsville, and Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Morrinsville, as from the 3rd day of May, 1939.

to be Registrar of Electors and Returning Officer for the Wanganui Electoral District for the purposes of the Electoral Act, 1927, and its amendments, Returning Officer for the Wanganui Licensing District for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, and its amendments, Registrar of Marriages for the District of Wanganui under the Marriage Act, 1908, and Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Wanganui under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, as from the 1st day of May, 1939.

Arthur Roger Carre Claridge,

to be Registrar of Marriages for the District of Hawera under the Marriage Act, 1908, Registrar of Births and Deaths for the District of Hawera under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, and Registrar of Births and Deaths of Maoris at Hawera under the Maori Births and Deaths Registration Regulations dated 4th day of February, 1935, as from the 29th day of April, 1939 ; and to be Registrar of Electors and Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Patea for the purposes of the Electoral Act, 1927, and its amendments, and Returning Officer for the Patea Licensing District for the purposes of the Licensing Act, 1908, and its amendments, as from the 1st day of May, 1939.

Alfred Ernest Reynolds,
