Matiri and Hope Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by the Buller River; towards the east by Rocky Gully to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 4, Block IX, Hope Survey District; towards the north by Section 4 aforesaid; towards the east by the eastern portion of Section 5, Block IX, Hope Survey District (as shown on S.O. plan 18/38); towards the south and east by Section 5, Block XIII, Hope Survey District; towards the east by Sections 4 and 2, Block XIII aforesaid; towards the south by Section 2, Block I, Rotoroa Survey District, by a road, by the western portion of Section 1, Block XIII, Hope Survey District (as shown on S.O. plan 22/7), and Section 5, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District; towards the west and south by the western portion of Section 9, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District (as shown on S.O. plan 58/57); towards the south-west generally by a road, Section 14, Lots 2 and 1 of Section 7, and Section 10, Block XII, Matiri Survey District, and a road.
Also all that area of Crown land containing approximately 3,700 acres situated in Matiri and Tutaki Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows; Towards the north by Section 7, Lots 1 and 2 of Section 12, Block XV, and Section 10, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District; towards the east by Section 7, Block XVI, Matiri Survey District, and Section 7 and Lots 1 and 2, Section 9, Block IV, Tutaki Survey District; towards the south by Section 11, Block IV, and Sections 3 and 7, Block III, Tutaki Survey District; and towards the west by Sections 5, 4, and 6, Block III, Tutaki Survey District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 107/2, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of May, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as βthe said Actβ), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Whangarei County, containing by admeasurement 463 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of the Tutaematai A Block, situated in Blocks VII, VIII, XI, and XII, Russell Survey District, and being all the land on the plan numbered 27504, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/564A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Section 96s, Te Miro Settlement, Block II, Cambridge Survey District: Area, 30 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less. (Auckland plan S.O. 29796.)

All that area in Thames County, containing by admeasurement 34 acres 0 roods 13 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on the plan numbered 28224, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and being part of Section 1, Block I, Thames Survey District, part of Mamaku Block, part of Te Wharau No. 1 Block, and part of Te Wharau No. 2 Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/769A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 16th day of May, 1939.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby add portion of the County of Kawhia as a constituent district of the Te Awamutu Electric-power District, and doth determine that as from the date of the next general election of the representatives of the several constituent districts on the Te Awamutu Electric-power Board, the constituent district of portion of the County of Kawhia shall be entitled to one member on the said Board.
