MOTUEKA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
The Motueka Borough Housing Loan, No. 2, 1938.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £9,000 authorized to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council for the purpose of acquisition of land and the erection of workers’ dwellings as described in Part XXVII of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Motueka comprising the whole of the Borough of Motueka; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of June and December in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Notice to Creditors to Prove.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of ELECTRIC HOME SERVICES, LIMITED (in Liquidation).
THE liquidator of Electric Home Services, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 6th day of May, 1939, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims, and to establish any title they may have in priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In accordance with the provisions of section 222, subsection 1 of the Companies Act, 1933.
NOTICE is hereby given of the following resolution of the shareholders of Auckland Automobile Racing Club, Limited:—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. GEORGE WILLIAM HUTCHISON, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company.”

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Swimming-baths Loan, 1938.
AT a meeting of the above Council held on the 17th day of April, 1939, the following resolution was passed:—
“ In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000) authorized to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing and otherwise providing municipal swimming-baths for the Borough of Te Kuiti, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny (⁵⁄₁₆d.)
in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
Under the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hutt propose to execute a certain public work—namely, a public road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is open for inspection at the offices of Messieurs Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, Brandon House, Featherston Street, Wellington. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk, whose office is situated in Bowen House, Bowen Street, in the City of Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
All those pieces of land in the Wellington Land District containing in all four acres one rood thirty-nine and eighty-one one-hundredths perches (4 acres 1 rood 39·81 perches), more or less, comprising parts of Lots 61, 62, and 64, 70 Deposited Plan 2397, parts of Lots 1–28 and 30, 62 Deposited Plan 5853, Lot 63, Deposited Plan 5853, parts of Lots 6 and 7, Deposited Plan 7225, and parts of Lots 7, 8, and 9, Deposited Plan 9132, all the said pieces of land being situate in the Paekakariki Survey District, as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan deposited in the Lands and Survey Office at Wellington, under number S.O. 20243.
