at Waitakaruru on the Waitakaruru Stream, and at Pipiroa, Kopuarahi, Hopai, Horahia, Ngatea, Kaihere, Puhanga, Mangawhero, Patetonga, and Kerepeehi (but excluding the Depot Wharf thereat) on the Piako River, was vested in the Hauraki Plains County Council (hereinafter called “the Council”) :

And whereas it is desirable that dues and rates should be prescribed to be charged and taken for the use of the wharves at Waitakaruru on the Waitakaruru Stream, and at Pipiroa, Kopuarahi, Ngatea, Kaihere, and Kerepeehi on the Piako River :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the Harbours Act, 1923, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby prescribe that the dues and rates set forth in the Schedule hereto shall be charged and taken by the Council for the use of the said wharves at Waitakaruru on the Waitakaruru Stream, and at Pipiroa, Kopuarahi, Ngatea, Kaihere, and Kerepeehi, on the Piako River.

Appointment of Member of Board of Health.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section 7 of the Health Act, 1920, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby reappoint Thomas Charles Atkinson Hislop, of Wellington, to be a member of the said Board for three years from the 3rd day of February, 1939.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of February, 1939.

Land set apart in the Southland Land District as a Site for a Public School.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments :

And whereas the Land Board of the Southland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school (Mararoa).

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 2 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of Section 3, Block II, Mararoa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the east by Section 2, Block I, Mararoa Survey District, 400 links; towards the south by a public road, 625 links; towards the west and north by other part of Section 3, Block II, Mararoa Survey District, 400 links and 625 links, respectively; be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 20/67B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 31st day of March, 1939.
