Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.โ€”BOROUGH OF WAITARA.
SECTIONS 1 to 12, Block LI, Town of Waitara West : Area, 3 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of January, 1939.

Boundaries of Borough of New Lynn and Glen Eden Town District altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1939.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the Borough of New Lynn and included in the Glen Eden Town District :

And whereas it is expedient to make such alteration of the boundaries of the said borough :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of New Lynn and included in the Glen Eden Town District.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF NEW LYNN AND INCLUDED IN THE GLEN EDEN TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of part Lot 22, on L.T. Plan 20071, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland ; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of part Lot 22, the abuttment of a public road, the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 23, 24, 25, and 26, L.T. Plan 20071 aforesaid, to the northernmost corner of Section 158, Parish of Waikomiti ; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 165, Parish of Waikomiti, to the southern boundary of the Auckland-Kaipara Railway ; thence by the southern boundary of the Auckland-Kaipara Railway to the western boundary of Section 161, Parish of Waikomiti ; thence south-westerly along that boundary to the westernmost corner of said Section 161 ; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of said Section 161 to the easternmost corner of part Lot 22 on L.T. Plan 20071 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Cancelling the Vesting of Part of a Reserve in the Selwyn County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1939.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of a reserve for a gravel-pit, and is vested in the Selwyn County Council :

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Selwyn County Council has duly consented to such cancellation :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Selwyn County Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Part of Reserve 332, situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Christchurch Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-west by a public road 809-4 links, towards the east by Rural Section 1768, towards the south by the Main South Road 18-0 links, 356-9 links, and 31-9 links, and towards the south-west by a public road 969-0 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/158A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Christchurch Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1939.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a gravel-pit :

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a gravel-pit to a reserve for recreation purposes.
