Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of
the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway: Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land:—

0 1 11·8 Lot 10, D.P. 2209 (part R.S. 48); coloured yellow.
0 0 8·0 Lot 11, D.P. 2209 (part R.S. 48); coloured blue.
0 0 0·85 Part Lot 15, D.P. 2209 (part R.S. 48); coloured blue.

Situated in City of Christchurch. (S.O. 7054, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5486, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of January, 1939.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised in the piece of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being land which is adjacent to the endowment for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the County of Waitemata, Block VI, Kaipara Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or less, being Allotments 193 and 194, Makarau Parish. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 15/46/41A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland Plan S.O. 29433.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the County of Waitemata, Block VI, Kaipara Survey District, containing by admeasurement 74 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 154, E.R. Makarau Parish, and being the residue of the land in C.T. 208/37. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 15/46/41B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (North Auckland Plans S.O. 4013 and 29433.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of January, 1939.
