Stopping a Government Road in Block VII, Newcastle Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped: 3 acres 1 rood 34 perches.

Adjoining Allotments 8, 9, 254, and 255, Waipa Parish, and Crown land.

Situated in Block VII, Newcastle Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29784.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 101322, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of March, 1939.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., a Deviation of Portion of the Levin-Porirua State Highway.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., a deviation of portion of the Levin-Porirua State Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits as defined on the plan marked P.W.D. 102432, referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point on the Levin-Porirua State Highway approximately 1 chain from the southern boundary of Section 6, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 28 chains and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Section 6, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, Railway land, part old bed Porirua Harbour, and Lots 5, 4, 3, and 2, D.P. 6933, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and terminating at a point on the Levin-Porirua State Highway near the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 6933, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 102432, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of March, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be Crown land: 3 acres 1 rood 34 perches.

Being stopped Government road adjoining Allotments 8, 9, 254, and 255, Waipa Parish, and Crown land.

Abolishing the Wardens’ Courts at Clyde and Blacks.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of March, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Mining Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby abolish the Wardens’ Courts at Clyde and Blacks.

Authorizing Wyndham Ewen Barker, of Mount Harper, Rink-owner, to use Water for the Purpose of generating Electricity.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of March, 1939.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby grant to Wyndham Ewen Barker, of Mount Harper, Rink-owner (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), a license subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth to take and use from an unnamed stream situated in part Reserve 1357, Block IX, Tripp Survey District, in the Land District of Canterbury, for the purposes hereinafter set forth a stream of water not exceeding decimal point twenty-five cubic feet per second at any one time.

CONDITIONS.

  1. IMPLIED CONDITIONS.

THE conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Water-power Regulations, 1934, and the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
