to command the 1st Battalion temporarily. Dated

Major A. W. B. Ross, The New Zealand Scottish Regiment,
relinquishes command of the Regiment and is seconded
for duty with the Special Force. Dated 27th September,
1939.
Major J. B. Mawson, M.C., V.D., The New Zealand Scottish
Regiment, is appointed to command the Regiment
temporarily. Dated 28th September, 1939.
Major F. L. Hunt, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appoint-
ment of Area Staff Officer, No. 5 Area, Wellington,
dated 13th September, 1939, and is appointed Camp
Commandant, Central Military District Mobilization
Camp, Trentham, dated 14th September, 1939.

N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.

Major H. G. Dyer, 1st Cadet Battalion, The North Auckland
Regiment, to be Major, and is appointed Area Officer,
No. 3 Area, Whangarei. Dated 25th September, 1939.
Captain P. V. Williams (late Royal Artillery), to be Captain
and is appointed Artillery Instructor, Army School
of Instruction, Trentham. Dated 27th September,
1939.

Wybert Marmion Moore to be Honorary Lieutenant.
