LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity leading from the licensee's premises situated in part Section 13, Spickman's Grant, Block III, to the Kaeo Memorial Library, situated in part Section 13, Spickman's Grant, Block III, all being situated in the Kaeo Survey District, in the Land District of North Auckland, and shown by means of a red line on plan marked P.W.D. 103092, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Authorizing Gordon Simon Rae, of Ross, Garage-proprietor, to erect Electric Lines in Portion of the Borough of Ross.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of November, 1939.
Present:
THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Gordon Simon Rae, of Ross, garage-proprietor (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.
    The said lines may be used for the transmission of electrical energy for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

  2. LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.
    The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.
    The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  3. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
    The system of supply shall be classified under paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935. The voltage of generation and transmission over the lines hereby authorized shall be approximately 230 volts single phase.

  4. DURATION OF LICENSE.
    Unless sooner determined, this license shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1960, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other general public source, whichever is the earlier.

SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity leading from the generating plant situated on Section 90, Town of Ross, and proceeding thence (a) southerly to the licensee’s garage, situated on the said Section 90, (b) north-easterly to an hotel situated on Section 92, Town of Ross, and (c) northerly to and along a right-of-way in a westerly direction; thence southerly to the licensee’s residence situated on Section 84, Town of Ross; all situated in the Borough of Ross, Land District of West-land. As the same are shown by means of broken red lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 104309, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Authorizing the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-power Board to construct, maintain, and use certain Electric Lines.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 22nd day of November, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-power Board (hereinafter with its successors and assigns referred to as “the licensee”), subject to the conditions set forth in the First Schedule hereto, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area described in the Second Schedule hereto; and, further, for the purposes of section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, subject to the said conditions, doth hereby authorize the Board to construct and maintain the said electrical works.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

  1. LICENSE SUBJEC[T] TO REGULATIONS.
    In respect of the lines hereby authorized, the licensee shall comply with the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, and with any regulations made or to be made in amendment or amplification thereof or in substitution therefor. The conditions by clause 27-11 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, directed to be implied in all licenses shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  2. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
    The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a) and (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935.

  3. DURATION OF LICENSE.
    Unless sooner determined in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, this license shall continue in force until the 24th day of October, 1964. Upon the expiry of the said term or upon the sooner determination of this license by revocation or otherwise all rights hereby granted to the licensee shall cease and determine; but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.

  4. CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.
    The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per unit for lighting purposes and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes: Provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor-generators for lighting purposes; and provided further that if accounts are paid within fourteen days of due date the charges shall not exceed 9d. per unit for lighting purposes and 4½d. per unit for motor-power, heating, and cooking purposes.

In the case of wholesale supply, the charge shall not exceed £12 per kilovolt-ampere per annum, plus ½d. per unit; provided that if the licensee’s load reaches the amount of power supplied in bulk by the Minister of Public Works the licensee shall have the right to refuse further supply at the wholesale rate until such time as the Minister is in a position to supply to the licensee the whole of the licensee’s load. “Wholesale supply” for this purpose shall be held to be a supply in respect of which the consumer shall guarantee to pay not less than £180 per annum.

A minimum charge of 7s. per month, including meter-rent (if any), may be collected if required by the licensee, and shall be printed on the licensee’s conditions of supply.

  1. TIME FOR COMPLETION OF WORKS.
    The period for completion of the works hereby authorized shall be three years from the date of this license.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for the supply of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described within the area added to the licensee’s district by Proclamation dated the 16th day of August, 1939, and published in New Zealand Gazette of the 24th day of the same month; the electric lines now erected or proposed to be erected being shown by means of red lines on plan P.W.D. 105110, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
