CHANGE OF NAME.

I, HARRY GILCHRIST, of Hamilton, Carpenter, heretofore known as Harry Gilchrist Pung, hereby give public notice that on the 21st day of February, 1939, by a deed-poll duly executed and enrolled in the Supreme Court at Hamilton, I formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the use of my said surname of Pung, and declared that I had assumed and adopted the surname of Gilchrist instead of the name of Pung, so as to be at all times thereafter called and known and described by the name of Harry Gilchrist exclusively.

NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, dated the 24th day of February, 1939, confirming the reduction of the capital of the abovenamed company from £12,000 to £7,000, and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above statute were registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 1st day of March, 1939, and further take notice that the said minute is in the words and figures following :—

“ The capital of the Pegasus Fishing Company, Limited henceforth is £7,000, divided into 7,000 shares of £1 each, reduced from £12,000, divided into 12,000 shares of £1 each, by reducing and extinguishing 5,000 of the said shares numbered 1 to 5,000, inclusive.”

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR AN AERODROME.

The Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga Borough Council proposes to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the purposes of an aerodrome, and that a plan showing the lands required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Town Clerk, Municipal Building, Willow Street, Tauranga, and is open for inspection during office hours; and also that all persons affected by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-founded objection to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the 1st day of March, 1939 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), to the office of the Tauranga Borough Council, addressed to the undersigned.

SCHEDULE.

(1) All that piece of parcel of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing two roods seven perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa E 6B.

(2) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing three roods thirty perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa E 7.

(3) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing one acre three roods twenty-nine perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa 2E 6B.

(4) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing sixteen acres two roods twenty-six perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa 2E number 7.

(5) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing twenty-two acres two roods ten perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa 2F.

(6) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing two acres thirty-three perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa 2G 1B 4.

(7) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing two acres three roods twenty-three perches, more or less, being part Whareroa 2G number 1A.

(8) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing twenty-five acres two roods thirty-seven perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa 2G 1B number 3.

(9) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing twenty-one acres thirty-six perches, more or less, being Whareroa 2G 1B number 2.

(10) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing two acres three roods six perches, more or less, being part of Whareroa 2G number 1B.

(11) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing twenty-one acres thirty-five perches, more or less, being Whareroa 2G number 2A.

(12) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing fifty-three acres eleven perches, more or less, being Whareroa 2G number 2C.

(13) All that piece or parcel of land situated as aforesaid containing forty-two acres one rood thirty perches, more or less, being Whareroa 2G number 2B.

All the said pieces of land being situate in Blocks VII and XI, Tauranga Survey District.

TE KUITI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Streets Improvements Loan, 1938.

AT a meeting of the above council held on the 27th February, 1939, the following resolution was passed :—

“ In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000) authorized to be raised by the Te Kuiti Borough Council under the abovementioned Act, for the purpose of reconditioning and sealing various streets within the borough, the said Te Kuiti Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and three-sixteenths of a penny (1¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the Borough of Te Kuiti; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve (12) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above-named company, in liquidation, will be held pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the registered offices of the company, Miriama Street, Taumarunui, on Wednesday, the 29th day of March, 1939, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of laying before it final accounts showing how the winding up of the company has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of.
