MATAURA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Mataura Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Mataura Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending the sewer in Albion and Clyde Streets, extending the water-supply line in Albion Street, and kerbing and channelling two miles of footpaths, the said Mataura Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Mataura, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed by the Mataura Borough Council at its meeting held on the 27th day of February, 1939.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Housing Loan, 1938, £1,600.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the State Advances Corporation Act, 1936, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling the Mangonui County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand six hundred pounds (£1,600), authorized to be raised by the Mangonui County Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of erecting dwellings (2) on (a) Lot 6 on D.P. 20117, portion of Kaitaia Church Mission Land in Kaitaia Town District, (b) part Pakautararua No. 1, Block VIII, Mangonui Survey District, Oruru Riding, the said Mangonui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Mangonui County, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 26th day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
