Notice of Intention to take Additional Land in the Borough of Hamilton for Housing Purposes.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section 32 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Hamilton and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked as above mentioned and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within the Taranaki County—

All that area at Okato consisting of that portion of the Lepperton Junction–Hawera via Opunake Main Highway No. 36 commencing at a point 15 chains measured along the said main highway in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Gossling Street, proceeding thence in a south-easterly and north-easterly direction, and terminating at a point 10 chains measured along the said main highway in a north-easterly direction from its junction with the Oxford–Saunders Main Highway, a distance of approximately 40 chains.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931.

IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1931, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Amendment of Warrant classifying Roads in Stratford County.

IN terms of the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, the Minister of Transport does hereby amend the Warrant classifying roads in the Stratford County published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 125 of the 12th day of October, 1939, at page 2685, by substituting in the Schedule thereof among the names of county roads classified in Class Three the word “Eltham” for the words “Waimate West.”

Notice as to the making of By-laws under the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Amendment Act, 1933.—(Notice No. Ag. 3704.)

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Amendment Act, 1933, as amended by section 4 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, of the making by the societies named in the Schedule hereto and of the approval by the Governor-General of by-laws under the above-entitled Act controlling the admission of persons to any place used or occupied by the said societies for any meetings, show, exhibition, competition, or entertainment held by each such society. The by-laws made by the Feilding Industrial, Agricultural, and Pastoral Association on the 25th day of October, 1935, and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of November, 1935, at page 3383, are substantially the same as the by-laws made by the said societies to which this notice relates.
