Amending an Order in Council authorizing Harry Holt and Henry Arthur Holt, of Puketona, Pakaraka, Farmers, to use Water for the Purpose of generating Electricity and to erect certain Electric Lines.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1939.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
Pursuant to the Public Works Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and with the consent of the licensees, doth hereby amend the Order in Council dated the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 34 of the eighteenth day of the same month at page 1507 (hereinafter referred to as the “said license”), authorizing Harry Holt and Henry Arthur Holt, of Puketona, Pakaraka, Farmers, to use water from the Waiaruhe River for the purpose of generating electricity, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use certain electric lines, by adding to subclause (c) of clause four of the Conditions thereof the words :
“Also branch electric lines leading from part Section 5 across Bulls Road to the Puketona Hall, situated on part Section 5, Block VI, Kawakawa Survey District.”
Subject to the aforesaid amendment the terms and conditions of the said license are hereby confirmed.

Authorizing the Waiapu County Council to erect certain Electric Lines in portion of the County of Waiapu.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1939.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Waiapu County Council (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.
- PURPOSES OF LINES.
The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.
- LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.
The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor. The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated herein and form part of this license except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
- DURATION OF LICENSE.
Unless sooner determined, this license shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1960, or until a supply of electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board, or other general public source, whichever is the earlier.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be the system described in paragraph (d) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and generating voltage 230 volts direct current.
- CHARGES ON SALE.
The charges for electrical energy shall not exceed one shilling (1s.) per unit for lighting purposes and sixpence (6d.) per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes: Provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor-generators for lighting purposes; and provided further that if accounts are paid within fourteen days of due date the charges shall not exceed 9d. per unit for lighting purposes and 4½d. per unit for motor-power, cooking, or heating purposes.

SCHEDULE.
Lines adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity commencing at the licensee’s power-house situated in Section 30, Te Puia Suburban, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction through Sections 30 and 31, Te Puia Suburban, to and across an unformed road to a dwelling situated in the south-western corner of Section 48, Te Puia Suburban, with branch lines leading :—
(a) In a westerly direction to the store situated in the said Section 30 ;
(b) In a south-westerly direction to the County Offices, situated in the said Sections 30 and 31 ;
(c) In an easterly direction generally to a dwelling known as the Engineer’s Residence, situated in Section 32, Te Puia Suburban ; and
(d) In an easterly direction to a dwelling known as the County Clerk’s Residence, situated in the said Sections 30 and 31.
All being situated in Block XVI, Mata Survey District; the said lines being more particularly delineated by means of red lines on plan marked P.W.D. 103979, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

License authorizing William James Dippie, of Whangamomona, Motor Engineer, to erect certain Electric Lines in the Township of Whangamomona, and revoking certain former Orders in Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of November, 1939.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize William James Dippie, of Whangamomona, Motor Engineer (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area of supply described in the First Schedule hereto on the following conditions, and further, with the consent of all interested parties, doth hereby revoke the Orders in Council described in the Second Schedule hereto.
