Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in
Block III, Mawheraiti Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land which is described in
the Schedule hereto (and which was acquired for railway
purposes, and is not now required for such purposes) shall,
upon publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become
road, and that such road shall be maintained by the Inanga-hua County Council in like manner as other public roads are
controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924,
I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that from and after the date hereof the land comprised
in the pieces of closed road described in the First Schedule
hereto, being land which is adjacent to or intersecting the
endowment for primary education described in the Second
Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to be added to the said
endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 4, Block IV, Mararoa Survey District: Area, 1 acre
2 roods 36 perches, more or less.
Section 5, Block IV, Mararoa Survey District: Area, 1 acre
0 roods 9 perches, more or less.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area, being Run 301c, Mararoa Survey District, and
being part of the area described as Run 301B, Mararoa and
Te Anau and Manapouri Districts, in Gazette dated 31st
August, 1876, page 611, and apportioned as an endowment
for primary education by notice published in supplementary
Gazette dated 12th June, 1878, page 841.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of
November, 1939.

Altering and redefining the Boundaries of the Hawke's Bay
Rabbit District.--(Notice No. Ag. 3701.)
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of
November, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance
Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General,
at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may by
Order in Council alter and redefine the boundaries of its
district:
And whereas the district known as the Hawke's Bay
Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the
purposes of the said Act:
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant
to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested
that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined
by excluding an area therefrom:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine
the boundaries of the said district accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby-

  1. Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district
    so constituted as aforesaid;
  2. Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall
    be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
  3. Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force
    on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and
    forty.
    SCHEDULE.
    BOUNDARIES OF THE HAWKE'S BAY RABBIT DISTRICT.
    ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay, Auckland, and Wellington
    Land Districts, comprising the Hawke's Bay, Waipawa, and
    Waipukurau Counties, and parts of the Wairoa, Taupo,
    Rangitikei, and Patangata Counties as now constituted, and
    bounded as follows: Commencing at the point of inter-section of the middle-line of the Taharua River with the
    south-eastern boundary of the Tauhara South A Block in
    Block V, Waitahanui Survey District; thence proceeding
    north-easterly by a right line to the Rangitaiki River at the
    crossing of the main Napier-Taupo Road; thence south-easterly by that road to the middle of the Mohaka River;
    thence generally easterly down the middle of the Mohaka
    River to the sea; thence generally southerly along the sea-coast to Arataura; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 11, 9, and 5, D.P. 1215, Blocks 49,
    26, 50, 21, 26, 30, and 55, Tautane Crown Grant District,
    Lot 1, D.P. 117, and Block 58 of the said Tautane Crown
    Grant District to the north-eastern corner of Section 4,
    Block I, Tautane Survey District, on the Patangata County
    boundary; thence north-westerly along the south-western
    boundary of the Patangata County as described in New
    Zealand Gazette 1927, page 2929, to the north-eastern corner
    of Section 4, Block XV, Mangatoro Survey District; thence
    generally north-westerly along the eastern and northern
    boundaries of the Dannevirk County as described in New
    Zealand Gazette 1926, page 126, to the summit of the Ruahine
    Range; thence northerly along the summit of the Ruahine
    Range to the south-western boundary of the Hawke's Bay
    County; thence north-westerly by a right line to Trig.
    Station No. 30 on Aorangi; thence south-westerly by a
    right line between the said Trig. Station No. 30 and Trig.
    Station No. 32 to the middle-line of the Rangitikei River;
    thence northerly up the middle of the Rangitikei River to
    Taupo County boundary; thence generally easterly along the
    southern boundary of the Taupo County as described in New
    Zealand Gazette 1933, page 12, to the middle of the Mohaka
    River; thence northerly up the middle of that river and the
    Taharua River to the point of commencement.
