Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Heathcote and included in the City of Christchurch.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded on the west by the eastern side of Kerr’s Road from the south-western corner of Lot 18, on deposited plan 8339, to Wainoni Road; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern side of Wainoni Road to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, on deposited plan 8339; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, on deposited plan 8339 aforesaid, and the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 19, 21, and 23 on deposited plan 9438, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 24, 25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44, on deposited plan 9438, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, and 53, on deposited plan 9438, and the southern boundary of Lot 18, on deposited plan 8339 aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said Lot 18, the place of commencement.

Recreation Reserve in Canterbury Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Canterbury Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Waikari Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

RESERVE No. 4232 (formerly Lot 9, D.P. 9063), Block XII, Waipara Survey District: Area, 1 rood 30 perches, more or less.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the thirty-fourth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Southland Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act, and such reserve shall hereafter be known as the Drummond Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 11 acres 0 roods 22 perches, more or less, being Lots 19, 20, and 21, Block IV, Village of Drummond (D.P. 276), and being also part Section 156, Block IV, Oreti Hundred. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/1062A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Varying the Determinations in respect of the Waitaki Hospital Board’s Loan of £2,625.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of October, 1939.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Waitaki Hospital Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of the sum of two thousand six hundred and twenty-five pounds (£2,625) by a loan to be known as “Medical Superintendent’s Residence Loan, 1939” (hereinafter called “the said loan”):

And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not yet been exercised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing that in lieu of a term of twenty-five (25) years as specified in clause one of the said Order in Council the term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall not exceed ten (10) years.
