NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in the minute-book of the above-named company made by virtue of section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, in lieu of special resolution, and dated the 19th day of October, 1939, the following resolution was passed:—

“That the directors having filed pursuant to section 226 of the Companies Act, 1933, a declaration of solvency for the purposes of a members' voluntary winding up, the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. J. B. BALHARRY, of the firm of Wilberfoss, Harden, and Co., Public Accountants, Wellington, be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such voluntary winding up.”

It was further resolved that the holder of the debenture over the company’s assets be duly advised of the above resolution and that in the terms of the powers conferred upon him as set out in the debenture Mr. French be requested to appoint a liquidator. It was resolved that all creditors be advised.”

RANGIORA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Road Consolidating and Sealing Loan, 1938, of £10,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rangiora County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Rangiora County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the County’s share of the cost of consolidating and sealing that portion of the Kaiapoi-Waddington via Rangiora Highway as is within the County (known as Skew Bridge - Drain Road and the Oxford Road) and the cost of preparing specifications, raising the loan, and preliminary expenses involved, and meeting engineering supervision expenses, the said Rangiora County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 13/50ths (thirteen-fiftieths) of a penny in the pound upon the capital value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Rangiora, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 12th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of (10) ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly carried at the meeting of the Rangiora County Council on the 8th day of September, 1939.
