Advertisement of Cancelling.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 13th day of October, 1939, cancelled the registry of Court Royal Oak, No. 6497, of the Auckland District Branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters of New Zealand Friendly Society, No. 356 (Register No. 356 (2)/6), held at Tauranga, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

APPLICATION TO ALTER COURSE OF A WATER-RACE.
In the Warden's Court holden at Alexandra.
NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made to the Warden at Alexandra by H.M. THE KING to change the intake and alter the course of water-race held under License No. 515 (Blacks), commencing at a point in Scott's Creek in Run 223K, Lauder District, approximately 15 chains above the present intake running in a north-easterly direction for 2,300 yds. through Runs 223K and 2230 and terminating at the north-eastern boundary of the latter Run; and such application will be heard in the Warden's Court at Alexandra on Wednesday, 8th November, 1939, at 10 a.m.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar's office and notified to applicant at least three days before the time so appointed.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between JAMES HENRY JOHNSTON and CHARLES FREDERICK JOHNSTON, carrying on business as Farmers at Pio Pio, under the style or firm name of Johnston Bros., has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the Ist day of April, 1939.
The partners have partitioned their farm properties and each partner will henceforth carry on business on his own account at Pio Pio.

TARARUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Housing Loan, £1,650.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards' Act, 1925, and the Statutes Amendment Act, 1938, the Tararua Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,650, authorized to be raised under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of building two cottages in Eketahuna for the accommodation of certain members of the Board's staff, the said Tararua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of one penny in the pound (1/50d. in the £) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in power district comprising the Boroughs of Pahiatua and Eketahuna, the Counties of Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Mauriceville, and Akitio; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off."

THE RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROADS.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Counties Act, 1920.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Raglan County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely, the formation of a road-and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken for roads is deposited in the public offices of the Clerk to the said Council at Ngaruawahia and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands who have any well-founded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same on or before the 23rd day of November, 1939, being a date not more than forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Raglan County Council at the Council Chambers, Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of land required to be taken :-
5 acres 3 roods, being portion of Section 1, Block X, Awaroa Survey District, situate in the County of Raglan, and coloured blue on S.O. plan 30290.
6 acres 14 perches, Te Akau B No. 16, Block X, Awaroa Survey District, situate in the County of Raglan, and coloured red on S.O. plan 30290.
