ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of October, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to the Board of Trade Act, 1919, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industries and Commerce, make the following Board of Trade Regulations.

REGULATIONS.

  1. These regulations may be cited as the Board of Trade (Sugar-price) Regulations 1939.

  2. These regulations shall come into force on the day following notification in the Gazette of the making thereof.

  3. Nothing in these regulations shall apply to the sale or purchase of sugar by any person in a quantity of less than 1 lb., or to the sale of sugar to a manufacturer, distributor, or retail storekeeper, as these terms are respectively defined in regulation 4 hereof, in a quantity of less than half a ton.

  4. The maximum prices at which any person may sell sugar manufactured in New Zealand and being of the grade commercially known as β€œ1A Sugar” for delivery at any of the places named in the Schedule hereto shall be the respective prices set out in the said Schedule according to whether the
