IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of WANGANUI SECURITIES, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with the requirements of the Act, the following resolution was duly passed on the 5th day of October, 1939:—
“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mrs. W. DUNKLEY, Public Accountant, Wanganui, be appointed liquidator.”

BOROUGH OF WESTPORT.
Extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Westport Borough Council at a special meeting of the said Council, held in the Council’s Offices, Russell Street, Westport, on Wednesday, the 13th day of September, 1939, at 8 p.m.
Present: Councillor Taylor in the Chair; Councillors Thomas, Fairbairn, Nahr, Caldwell, and Stowell.
The Mayor, Councillors Radford, Bird, and O’Dea were granted leave of absence.
In the absence of the Mayor, Councillor Taylor was voted to the Chair.
Proposed by Councillor Stowell; seconded by Councillor Nahr:
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five thousand pounds (£5,000), authorized to be raised by the Westport Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the sealing of the streets and footpaths of the Borough, the said Westport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of one penny (⅞d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the Borough of Westport, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off.”—Carried.
Confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the said Council held on Wednesday, the 20th day of September, 1939.
We, John Kilkenny and Arthur Taylor, Mayor and Town Clerk, of the Borough of Westport respectively, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and correct extract of the minutes of proceedings of the Westport Borough Council at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 13th day of September, 1939, and confirmed at the council meeting on the 20th day of September, 1939.

A. R. HARRIS COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that by special resolution of shareholders passed on the 5th day of October, 1939, it was resolved that it was desirable to reconstruct the company as a private company in accordance with the terms of the reconstruction agreement attached to such resolution, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that AMBROSE REEVES HARRIS be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.

Harris Company, Limited (in voluntary liquidation) a new company was on the 5th day of October, 1939, incorporated under the name of A. R. Harris Company, Limited, for the purpose (inter alia) of acquiring the undertaking of A. R. Harris Company, Limited (in voluntary liquidation) and will carry on business in succession to such last-mentioned company.

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE EASEMENT.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Public Works Act, 1928, as amended by section 62 (1) (c) of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1939, and pursuant to section 22 of the Public Works Act, 1928, notice is hereby given that the Napier Borough Council proposes, under the powers conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and its amendments, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of waterworks—and that accordingly the following easement over the lands described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the purposes of the waterworks, namely:—
(a) Full, free, and perpetual right and liberty to the Napier Borough Council at all times hereafter by its agent or agents to enter upon the said lands with such tools and apparatus as shall be necessary and lay therein a water-main or water-mains of such nature, materials, and diameters as the said Council shall think fit, to enter by its agent or agents and inspect, clean, repair, renew, replace, or alter any such water-main or water-mains and to convey water through any such water-main or water-mains: Provided always that all water-mains laid from time to time through the said lands shall be properly and efficiently constructed and shall be laid at least two feet below the surface of the ground; and provided further that as far as practicable the said Council shall fill in all soil excavated in carrying out the aforesaid works and shall level out the surface of the ground; and provided further that immediately upon the said Council becoming aware of any break of or leakage in any such water-main or water-mains the said Council will repair and make good the same.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands over which the aforesaid easement is required to be taken for the purposes aforesaid is deposited in the Borough Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said works, or by the taking of the said easement over the said lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said works, or the taking of the said easement over the said lands, must set forth their objections in writing and send the same to the Town Clerk at the Borough Council Offices, Tennyson Street, Napier, on or before the 22nd day of November, 1939, being a date not less than forty days from the first publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE.
(a) All that piece of land in the Borough of Napier containing approximately two decimal sixty-one perches (2·61 perches) being part of Lot Two (2) on deposited plan 6036, being part of Suburban Section 17, Napier, and being that part of the said Lot Two (2) shown marked “ Water Easement 5 ft. wide ” on the plan deposited for inspection as aforesaid.
(b) All that piece of land in the Borough of Napier containing approximately two decimal thirty-six perches (2·36 perches) being part of Lot 5 (5) on deposited plan 6036, being part of Suburban Section 17, Napier, and being that part of the said Lot Five (5) marked “ Water Easement 5 ft. wide ” on the plan deposited as aforesaid.
