Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Mawheraiti to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 2 roods 27 perches.

Portion of Railway land.

Situated in Block III, Mawheraiti Survey District, Inangahua County. (S.O. 9058.)

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5858, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of October, 1939.

Districts constituted under the Marriage Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Marriage Act, 1908, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Tauranga and To Puke districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:β€”

TAURANGA DISTRICT.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast in line with the north-western boundary of Papamoa No. 2, 11s Block; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary to the shore of Tauranga Harbour; thence by Tauranga Harbour to the mouth of the Waiiao Stream; thence up the middle of the Waiiao Stream to the western boundary of the Otawa No. 1 Block; thence southerly along that boundary to the north-western boundary of Waoku No. 2A Block; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Waoku No. 2A Block; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Waoku No. 2 Block to Otanewainuku Trig. Station; thence due west along a right line to the south-western boundary of Block XIII, Otanewainuku Survey District; thence along the south-western boundaries of Blocks XIII and IX, Otanewainuku Survey District, and Blocks VI and IV, Opoutahi Survey District, to Te Weraiti Trig. Station; thence along a right line to Waiamanu Trig. Station; thence north-westerly along a right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 1 on plan 5156, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the Aongatec Survey District, to a point bearing 247Β° from the source of the Kauritautaki River; thence to and along the middle of that river to its confluence with the Aongatec River and down the middle of that river to Tauranga Harbour; thence by Tauranga
