Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1931.

TN terms of regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers' Regulations,
1931, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve,
until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the
Schedule hereunder being Testing Officer under the said
Regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the
said Schedule.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Roads of Less Width than 66ft.
WHEREAS in the opinion of the Minister of Lands it is
inexpedient, by reason of the fact that the land shown
upon the plan of Town of Stoke Extension No. 6, affecting
part of Section 52, Suburban South, Block VII, Waimea
Survey District, is intended to be used wholly for residential
purposes, that the proposed road shown thereon should be of
the width of 66 ft.:
Now, therefore, I, Frank Langstone, Minister of Lands, do
hereby, in pursuance of the power conferred upon me by
section 17, subsection (1) of the Land Act, 1924, and of every
other power me thereunto enabling, authorize the laying-off
of the proposed road of a width of not less than 50 ft.: Provided always that it shall not be lawful for any person to
erect or cause to be erected any building at a less distance
than 33 ft. from the middle of such road.

Notice to Mariners No. 52 of 1939.

PUBLIC TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.-PORT OF AUCKLAND.
Amendment.
Paragraph 22 is to be deleted and the following substituted
therefor:-
Paragraph 22. The eastern approaches to Auckland
Harbour comprise the area between the following lines :-

  1. From East Tamaki Head a line drawn 010Β° to Motutapu
    Island.
  2. From Bastion Point a line drawn 026Β° through Bean
    Rocks Light to the foreshore of Rangitoto Island.
    Vessels may use this area for navigation between 6 a.m.
    and 6 p.m. provided that a permit has been obtained by the
    owners of such vessels by application in person to the Naval
    Control Service, Naval Base, Devonport. This permit must
    be produced to the vessel patrolling this area when entering
    the Harbour. Any vessel using the above-mentioned area
    except during the hours allowed will be fired on. It is,
    therefore, essential for vessels to make certain on entering
    or leaving port that they are clear of this area before 6 p.m.
    and do not enter it before 6 a.m.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been
received from the Dial Chemical Co., Ltd., Christ-
church, for a license to manufacture colloidal sulphur.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by
the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application,
and who wishes to made representations accordingly, must
furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the
undersigned not later than the 18th October, 1939.
