CITY OF AUCKLAND.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR STREET.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, to execute a certain public work—namely, the making of a new street to connect Nihill Crescent with Selwyn Avenue, Kohimarama, within the City of Auckland—and for the purpose of such public work the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland, and is open for public inspection there (without fee) during office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or by the taking of such land, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or the taking of the said land, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the 16th day of September, 1939, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Auckland City Council, Town Hall, Auckland.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land containing one rood twenty and three-tenths perches, more or less, being Lot number seven on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under No. 7558, being part of Allotment thirty-one of the Parish of Waitemata, and situated in Selwyn Avenue, Kohimarama.

RURAL TRADING AND AGENCY COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

PURSUANT to section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a general meeting of the above-named company will be held at the office of the undersigned, National Bank Chambers, Princes Street, Dunedin, on the 13th day of October, 1939, at 8 p.m., to receive a statement of the liquidator in connection with the final winding up of the company.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

PURSUANT to section 241 of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of the above-named company will be held in the office of the undersigned, National Bank Chambers, Princes Street, Dunedin, on the 13th day of October, 1939, at 7.30 p.m., to receive a statement of the liquidator in connection with the final winding up of the company.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of ELECTRIC HOME SERVICES, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company held at Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 12th day of April, 1939, the following special resolution was passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply to the Melville Water-supply Special Rating Area, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence (2d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the said Melville Water-supply Special Rating area described in the first paragraph of the Schedule to an Order in Council of His Excellency the Governor-General appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th November, 1938, at page 2363, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,300, authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply to the Norton Water-supply Special Rating Area, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and seven-tenths of a penny (2.7d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the said Norton Water-supply Special Rating Area described in the second paragraph of the Schedule to an Order in Council of His Excellency the Governor-General appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th November, 1938, at page 2363, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

K.D.V. BOXES, LIMITED.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of K.D.V. BOXES, LIMITED, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District (Auckland Registry), dated the 11th day of September, 1939, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £150,000 to £56,670, and the minute (approved by the Court) showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the particulars required by the above statute, were registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Auckland, on the 18th day of September, 1939.

And further take notice that the minute abovementioned is in the words and figures following:—

“The capital of K.D.V. Boxes, Limited, is £56,670 divided into 113,340 shares of 10s. each (instead of £150,000 divided into 150,000 shares of £1 each) at the date of the registration of this minute each share is deemed to be fully paid.”
