At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of September, 1939.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
Pursuant to the Emergency Regulations Act, 1939, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.
REGULATIONS.

These regulations may be cited as the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations 1939, Amendment No. 1.

These regulations shall be read together with and form part of the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations 1939* (hereinafter called the principal regulations).

These regulations shall come into force on the day following their publication in the Gazette.

Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended by revoking the definition of “lighting kerosene” and substituting therefor the following definition :---
“‘Lighting kerosene’ means any refined petroleum distillate that distills completely at a temperature below approximately 320° C., has a closed test flash-point above 73° F., and is suitable for use as an illuminant.”
