Notice of Members' Voluntary Winding Up.
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, that at an extraordinary general meeting of the members held on the 14th day of February, 1939, the following special resolution was passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntary.”
And it was further resolved that JOHN MILLER, of Auckland, Company Secretary, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Tauranga Borough Waterworks Loan (Mount Maunganui Extension), £5,700, 1938, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of constructing a watermain from the Borough of Tauranga to the boundary of the Township of Mount Maunganui, including the provision of all the necessary plant, material, and labour and doing all things necessary to complete the works and effect supply, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on Tuesday, 14th February, 1939.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loan Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Tauranga Borough Waterworks Loan (Otumoetai Extension), £4,600, 1938, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of constructing arterial and distribution mains and providing a water-supply for the district of Otumoetai, as indicated on the plans of the proposal, and providing all necessary plant, material, and labour and doing all things necessary to complete the works and make the supply available, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirteen sixty-fourths pence (13/64d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Tauranga and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Tauranga Borough Council held on Tuesday, 14th February, 1939.

LAKE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
In the matter of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and in the matter of a Special Loan of £4,500 authorized to be raised by the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Lake for bridging and other purposes.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in and conferred upon it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Lake County Council hereby this 31st day of January, 1939, resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four thousand five hundred pounds (£4,500), authorized to be raised by the Lake County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the Council’s share of the said cost of erecting fourteen (14) bridges in the various ridings of the said County and the forming, channelling, kerbing, and tar-sealing of Ardmore Street, in the Town of Pembroke, the said Lake County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny (1/10d.) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Lake calculated on the basis of the capital value thereof; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Moved by Councillor W. S. Reid. Seconded by Councillor Wm. Gordon.—Carried.
And we hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of such resolution as appearing in the minute-book of the Council of the County of Lake.

Under the Mining Act, 1926.
I, FRANK FENTON GREER, of Patearoa, Farmer, hereby give notice that I have applied to the Warden at Naseby for the grant of a license for a water-race out of the Swinburn Creek, commencing in and running through Section 19, Block IV, Kyeburn District, and that such application will be heard at the Warden’s Court, Naseby, on Monday, the 6th day of March, 1939, at 2 p.m.
