THIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the following apointments of officers
of the Royal New Zealand Air Force :—

APPOINTMENTS.

Alister Laird Young to be Flight Lieutenant (on probation)
and appointed Resident Medical Officer stationed at the
Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Wigram Aero-
drome. Dated 15th February, 1939.

The undermentioned are granted commissions as Equip-
ment Officers, Section I, in the rank of Flying Officer
(on probation). Dated 15th February, 1939 :—

THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT (CITY OF WELLINGTON'S OWN).

Captain R. E. Murray is granted the temporary rank of
Major whilst seconded to Army Headquarters, Wellington.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

Lieutenant J. F. Moffatt, 2nd Cadet Battalion, to be
Captain. Dated 27th August, 1938.
Lieutenant P. M. Collins, 5th Cadet Battalion, is trans-
ferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 10.
Dated 7th February, 1939.
2nd Lieutenant N. J. Hosking, 3rd Cadet Battalion, to
be Lieutenant. Dated 1st January, 1939.
2nd Lieutenant O. G. R. Edwards, 1st Battalion, resigns
his commission. Dated 6th February, 1939.
Guy Arthur Timaru Rhodes to be 2nd Lieutenant and is
posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 30th August, 1938.

THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Captain A. L. Young, M.B., F.R.C.S., Edin., attached 1st
Battalion, The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington's
Own), resigns his commission, on appointment to a
commission in the Royal N.Z. Air Force. Dated 14th
February, 1939.
Lieutenant S. G. de Clive-Lowe, attached 18th Anti-
Aircraft Battery, N.Z.A., to be Captain. Dated 14th
February, 1939.

N.Z. DENTAL CORPS.

Captain G. H. Leslie, B.D.S. (N.Z.), ceases to be attached
to the 1st Field Ambulance and is transferred to the
Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 5. Dated 30th
January, 1939.
Frank Bruce Rice, B.D.S., to be Lieutenant and is attached
to the 1st Field Ambulance. Dated 31st January, 1939.

to be a member of the Board of Trustees constituted under
the said Act, in place of Sir Charles Lewis Clifford, Bart.
deceased.
