Crown Land and National-endowment Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land and national-endowment land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ROTORUA FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area of national-endowment land and Crown land, in the Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, containing approximately 2,070 acres, being part of Section 1, Block V, Ahikereru Survey District, and part of Urewera A Block, situated in Blocks V, VI, IX, and X, Ahikereru Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south-east by Te Apu, Te Rautahi, Huirangi, and Tauwhare-kopua Blocks; towards the south-west by another part of Urewera A Block; towards the west by a permanent State Forest (Gazette 1932, page 2507); and towards the north-east by another part of Section 1, Block V, aforesaid, Section 4, Block V, aforesaid, and another part of Urewera A Block. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No 47/39, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of February, 1939.

ALL that area of national-endowment land in the Auckland Land District, Tauranga County, containing by admeasurement 1,145 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, and being Section 6, Block VI, Waihi South Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan number 31/5, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland plan, S.O. 19927.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of February, 1939.

Revocation of the Reservation of Portions of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses of Parliament, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke (so far only as it relates to the land described in the Schedule hereto) the Proclamation of the twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart as a permanent State forest, and declare that the reservation thereby effected is (so far as aforesaid) revoked accordingly.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL those areas in the Auckland Land District, Coromandel County, containing by admeasurement a total of 83 acres 2 roods 19 perches, more or less, situated in Block IV, Whitianga Survey District, being parts of State Forest No. 144 (Gazette 1928, page 3121) and described as follows:—
All that area containing by admeasurement 74 acres 3 roods, more or less, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south-east by Section 6, Block IV, Whitianga Survey District, and the crossing of a public road; towards the north-east by a public road; towards the south-east by a public road for distances of 576·3 links, 527·4 links, and 425·4 links; towards the west by the other part of State Forest No. 144, by lines, bearing 309° 11′ 30″, distance 792·5 links, bearing 301° 08′, distance 319·9 links, bearing 295° 09′, distance 344·6 links, bearing 335° 05′ 40″, distance 832·3 links, bearing 14° 30′, distance 988·3 links; bearing 49° 51′, distance 390·5 links, bearing 20° 26′, distance 192·0 links, bearing 18° 32′ 30″, distance 719·6 links, bearing 18° 34′, distance 478·7 links, and bearing 57° 06′, distance 38·0 links; and towards the north-east by the Marama Stream; save and excepting an intersecting public road, be all the aforesaid measurements more or less.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 19 perches, more or less, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east by the Waiwawa River; and towards the south-east and west by public roads.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 23/49, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Auckland Plan S.O. 29768.)

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £800 by the Taradale Town Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of February, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Taradale Town Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of eight hundred pounds (£800) by a loan to be known as “Main Highways Loan, 1939” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of meeting the Board’s share of the cost of reconstructing that portion of the Napier–Hastings via Fernhill Main Highway in the Town District of Taradale:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of eight hundred pounds (£800) and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows:—
(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be five (5) years.
(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.
(3) The said loan together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.
(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
