to revoke the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority conferred upon him by the
Harbours Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited
Order in Council of the twenty-second day of August, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, as from the
thirtieth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-eight.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-third
day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-
one, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of
the same month, at page 1830, Charles Spurgeon Rush and
Charles Louis Bagnall (hereinafter called “the licensees”)
were licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore at
Dargaville, in the Wairoa River, Kaipara Harbour, as a site
for an engine and storage sheds:

And whereas the licensees have applied to have the here-
inbefore-recited Order in Council revoked, and it is desirable
to revoke the same:

The Customs Export Prohibition Order 1939, No. 1.—

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 12th day
of January, 1939.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by section 47 of the Customs Act,
1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him
in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
and being of the opinion that the prohibition hereinafter
enacted is necessary in the public interest, doth hereby order
as follows:—

  1. This Order may be cited as the Customs Export
    Prohibition Order 1939, No. 1.

  2. The exportation of any onions, save with the consent
    of the Minister of Customs, is prohibited.

  3. This Order in Council shall come into force on the day
    following notification in the Gazette of the making thereof.

NOTE.—Applications for permits to export onions should
be made in the first instance to the Department of Agriculture
at the port of intended shipment.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the
three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are
set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service
of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names
respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and
receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-
first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
