and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended
thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and sub-
scribe the name of GUNNAR NEILSON in lieu of EDWARD
GUNNAR STENBACKA and so as to be at all times thereafter
called, known, and described by the name of GUNNAR NEILSON
exclusively.

SLIMUFORM COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the
matter of SLIMUFORM COMPANY, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named company
by entry in its minute-book passed the following as
an extraordinary resolution :—
“Resolved this sixth day of December, 1938, as an extra-
ordinary resolution—
- That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up
and that the company be wound up voluntarily. - That in pursuance of section 235 of the Companies
Act, 1933, Mr. J. W. HYLAND, of Auckland, Public
Accountant, be and he is hereby nominated as liquidator
of the company.”
Accordingly a meeting of creditors will be held at 60–63
Yorkshire House, Shortland Street, Auckland, on Tuesday,
20th December, 1938, at 2.15 p.m. to receive a statement of
affairs and appoint a liquidator.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
The Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Tauranga Borough
Council proposes to take the piece of land described
in the Schedule hereto under the provisions of the Public
Works Act, 1928, for the purposes of a dump, and storage
ground for the council’s plant and machinery, and that a
plan showing the lands required to be taken is deposited in
the office of the Tauranga Borough Council at Willow Street,
Tauranga, and is open for inspection during office hours ;
and also that all persons affected by the taking of the said
lands shall, if they have any well-founded objection to the
taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing and send
such writing within forty days from the 16th day of December,
1938 (being the date of the first publication of this notice), to
the offices of the Tauranga Borough Council addressed to the
undersigned.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land situated in the Provincial
District of Auckland containing one (1) rood thirty-two (32)
perches, more or less, being Allotment 352, Section 1, Town of
Tauranga, and being all the land in Certificate of Title,
Vol. 316, folio 174, Auckland Land Registry.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolu-
tion was duly passed by the members of Going Brothers,
Limited, on the 10th day of December, 1938 :—
“Resolved as a special resolution that the company be
wound up voluntarily and that Mr. ROBERT DENNIS SPEER, of
Whangarei, Public Accountant, be appointed as liquidator of
the company.”

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, and the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any)
it thereunto enabling the Waipa County Council hereby
resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges on the Waipa County
Council Roads and Bridges Loan No. 2, 1936, of £69,600,
authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under
the above-mentioned Acts for the purposes (a) of improving
(including constructing, forming, and metalling) the Te
Awamutu to Pirongia, Kihikihi to Arapuni, Te Awamutu to
Barton’s Corner, Te Awamutu to Cambridge, Frankton to
Pirongia and Ngaruawahia to Whatawhata (now known as
Horotiu–Whatawhata–Te Rore) Main Highways, and the
erecton and improvement of culverts and bridges thereon
and all necessary incidentals thereto, and (b) of improving
and tar-sealing the Te Awamutu to Pirongia, Kihikihi to
Arapuni, Te Awamutu to Barton’s Corner, Te Awamutu to
Cambridge, Frankton to Pirongia, and Ngaruawahia to
Whatawhata (now known as Horotiu–Whatawhata–Te Rore)
Main Highways, the said council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of fifty-nine one hundredths of a penny (59/100d.)
in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unim-
proved value of all rateable property in the County of Waipa
and that special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the
first day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty-six (26) years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of and
a correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the
Waipa County Council at a meeting held on the 19th day of
December, 1938.

THE NEW ZEALAND SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE.
IT is hereby notified for public information that in pursuance
of subsection (2) of section 7 of the School of Agriculture
Act, 1937 :—
(1) The Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural
College has appointed—
Professor Henry George Denham, M.A., D.Sc., Ph.D.,
James Robert Daniel Johns, Esquire ; and
(2) The Board of Governors of the Massey Agricultural
College has appointed—
Arthur Morton, Esquire, and
Henry Bisdee Stuckey, Esquire,
to be members of the Council of the New Zealand School of
Agriculture constituted under the said Act.
