BUCKLEY DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Buckley Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges in the Flood-damage Repairs Loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000) authorized to be raised by the Buckley Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of flood-damage repairs, the said Buckley Drainage Board hereby resolves that the special rates made and levied on all rateable property in the Buckley Drainage District on the 2nd day of August, 1937, as follows, namely:-

(1) 1d. in the pound on all lands classified as "A";
(2) ½d. in the pound on all lands classified as "B";
(3) ¼d. in the pound on all lands classified as "C";

be increased to the special rate of-

(1) ½d. in the pound on all lands classified as "A";
(2) ¼d. in the pound on all lands classified as "B";
(3) ⅛d. in the pound on all lands classified as "C";

and that such special rates of ½d. in the pound on the lands classified "A," ¼d. in the pound on the lands classified as "B," and ⅛d. in the pound on the lands classified as "C" are hereby made and levied on the aforesaid rateable property, and shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of such loan of £1,000 and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE is hereby given that the scheme prepared by the Napier Borough Council for the disposition of one-half of the sum of £500 bequeathed by the above-named deceased to the Council to use the income therefrom in assisting poor prisoners on their discharge from the common gaol at Napier, and part of the income accumulated on the said sum of £500, was approved by the Honourable Mr. Justice Blair on the 25th day of November, 1938.
