CANTERBURY AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE ACT, 1930.

ANNUAL ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS TO BOARD OF GOVERNORS.

I HEREBY give public notice that the following person has been duly nominated as the candidate for the office of a member of the Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural College to be elected by Agricultural and Pastoral Societies in the Mid-Canterbury portion of the Canterbury Provincial District

George Frederick Wright.

As there is only one person to be elected by such Agricultural and Pastoral Societies and as the said George Frederick Wright was the only nomination received I hereby declare him duly elected.

I hereby also give public notice that the following person has been duly nominated as the candidate for the office of a member of the Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural College to be elected by members of the Legislative Council resident in the Provincial District of Canterbury and members of the House of Representatives representing Canterbury Electoral Districts

Charles Morgan Williams.

As there is only one person to be elected by such members of the Legislative Council and members of the House of Representatives and as the said Charles Morgan Williams was the only nomination received I hereby declare him duly elected.

CHANGE OF NAME.

I, CHARLES DE VIC HALKETT, of the City of Wellington, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Student, hereby give public notice that I have renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of the surname “Connell” and have assumed and adopted and determined on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the surname of “Halkett” instead of the surname of “Connell”:

And I give further notice that by deed-poll dated the 24th day of November, 1938, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington, I formerly and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Connell” and declared that I had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Halkett” instead of “Connell” and so to be at all times hereafter called, known, and described by the name of Charles de Vic Halkett exclusively.

Dated this 24th day of November, 1938.
