Excluding Street from Limitation as to Speed imposed by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby exclude the street described in the Schedule hereto from the limitation as to speed imposed by the said section.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block III, Pohui Survey District, for the Purposes of a Native School.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a Native school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Haroto and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington.

Declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.

IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be closely populated localities for the purposes of the said section, to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein, shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.

SITUATED within Hutt County—
All that area consisting of the Lower Hutt–Eastbourne Main Highway No. 378 commencing at a point on the road opposite the Point Howard Wharf, and terminating at the northern boundary of Eastbourne Borough, as now constituted, a distance of approximately 3 miles.

All that area at Taita consisting of the Wellington–Napier via Wairarapa Main Highway No. 15 commencing at the northern boundary of Lower Hutt Borough, as now constituted, and terminating at a point 5 chains measured along the road in a north-easterly direction from the entrance to the Taita Public School, a distance of approximately 1 mile 6 chains.

All that area at Epuni Settlement bounded by a line commencing at the junction of Nae Nae Lane and the eastern boundary of Lower Hutt Borough, as now constituted, and proceeding along Nae Nae Lane in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Nae Nae Road; thence along Nae Nae Road in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Brasell Street at the eastern boundary of Lower Hutt Borough, as now constituted; thence along the boundary of the said borough in a north-westerly and then a north-easterly direction to its junction with Nae Nae Lane, the area being inclusive of the said roads and portions of roads to the extent above described.

All that area at Paraparaumu consisting of—
(i) The Wellington–Auckland via Taranaki Main Highway No. 1 commencing at a point 5 chains measured along the road in a south-westerly direction from the Paraparaumu Railway-station, and terminating at a point 4 chains measured along the road in a north-easterly direction from its junction with the stock route at Seddons Corner, a distance of approximately 64 chains.
