NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, installments of principal, and other charges on a loan of £25,000 known as "Low Level Reservoir Loan, 1938," authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of providing an additional reservoir for the storage of water on a site off Enfield Road, including the acquisition of extra land, the construction of the reservoir with all necessary pipes, fittings, and appliances incidental thereto, and all other expenses and necessary works connected therewith, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-one one-hundredths (31/100d.) of a penny in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Napier Borough Council held in the Borough Council Chambers, Tennyson Street, Napier, on the 31st day of October, 1938, and as appearing in the minutes of such meeting.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

The Wellington City Milk Loan, 1938.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other Acts, powers, and authorities it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) to be known as the Wellington City Milk Loan, 1938, authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making additions to the buildings and plant at the Rahui Factory and the Wellington Depot, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twentytwo eight-hundredths of a penny (22/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the first day of December, 1938, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 7th day of November, 1938.

McARTNEY'S LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of members and creditors will be held in my office, High Street, Blenheim, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 24th November, 1938, to enable the liquidator to submit his accounts showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of and give any explanations thereon.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the partnership hitherto subsisting between Messrs. FRYER AND ADAM, trading as "Hairdressers and Tobacconists," Main Street, Gore, has been dissolved as from 1st November, 1938.
The business will in future be carried on by W. O. Adam, to whom all accounts owing to the firm are to be paid. All those having accounts against the firm are to render same before 7th November, 1938.

(2) To receive the liquidator's statements of account in connection with the winding up.

Representation by proxy is allowed, but any creditor wishing to be so represented must lodge such proxy with the liquidator at his office on or before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, 23rd November, 1938.
