LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand three hundred and fifty pounds (f3,350) authorized to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for for the purposes of making extensions and improvements to the Levin Municipal Abattoir, the Levin Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of onefourteenth (4d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off."

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908 ; and in the matter of a certain Declaration of Trust dated the 23rd day of December, 1881, in favour of the HEBREW SYNAGOGUE at Timaru.
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme for the modification of the trusts upon which a certain fund is held under the above Declaration of Trust has been referred to the Supreme Court at Christchurch, and such scheme and the report of the Solicitor-General thereon are now open to inspection by the public without fee or charge. The application to adopt such scheme will come before the Honourable Mr. Justice Northcroft at his Chambers, Supreme Court, Christchurch, on Friday, the 2nd day of December, 1938, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SECURITY RATE FAIRFIELD BRIDGE LOAN Β£1,000 (1938).
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of f1,000 authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of providing part of the said council's share of the cost of the Fairfield Bridge, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-hundredth of a penny (1/100d.) in the pound (f) upon the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property of the Borough of Hamilton, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirtyfive years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton Borough Council.
