Revoking the Reservation over Portion of a Scenic Reserve in
the Westland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is portion of a reserve duly set apart for
scenic purposes:
And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic
purposes by reason of the absence of bush of scenic value
thereon:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me
by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment
Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic
purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 2 roods 17·8 perches, more or less,
being part Reserve 966, situated in Block I, Punakaiki Survey
District, bounded as follows: Commencing at the south-
eastern corner of G.R. 1090; thence along the north-eastern
boundary of that reserve bearing 326° 09′ for 310·2 links
to the Greymouth–Westport Road; thence along the south-
eastern side of that road bearing 51° 51′ 30″ for 223·3 links
and 86° 35′ 30″ for 122·7 links; thence bearing 187° 53′ for
70·3 links and 199° 08′ for 352·7 links to the point of commence-
ment. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 4/6G, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of
November, 1938.

Authorizing the Selwyn County Council to maintain a Monument
as a Permanent War Memorial.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
November, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred upon him by section fifteen of the Finance
Act, 1919 (hereinafter referred to as “the said section”),
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth
hereby approve of the provision and maintenance, by the
Selwyn County Council, of a monument as a permanent
war memorial, as provided by the said section; and, with
the like advice and consent, doth hereby approve of the
provision of such monument in that portion of the County
of Selwyn described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

GLENROY WAR MEMORIAL SITE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing
by admeasurement 20·3 perches, more or less, situated in
Block X, Hororata Survey District, being Reserve No. 4399,
formerly part of Rural Sections 27225 and 27495, and
bounded as follows: Towards the south-west 125·7 links,
north-west 101·7 links, and north-east 125·5 links, by part
Lot 3, Deposit Plan No. 6947, and south-east by a public
road 100 links. As the same are delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. file 23/540, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Bledisloe Park Regulations.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 2nd day of
November, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section eight of the Native Purposes Act,
1934, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth make the following regulations.

REGULATIONS.

REGULATION 1.—PRELIMINARY.

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Bledisloe Park
Regulations 1938.
(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st day
of December, 1938.
(3) In this regulation the term “the said section” means
section eight of the Native Purposes Act, 1934.
(4) In these regulations, if not inconsistent with the
context—
“Board” means the Bledisloe Park Board established by
the said section:
“Secretary” means the Secretary to the Board:
“Park” means the Bledisloe Park established by the said
section.

REGULATION 2.—FINANCE.

(1) All moneys received by the Board, including fines, shall
be paid into such bank as the Board from time to time appoints
to an account to be called the Bledisloe Park Board Account.
(2) All accounts shall be submitted to a meeting of the
Board for passing of payment or otherwise, and no moneys
shall be paid out of the Board’s account except by cheque
signed by a member of the Board and the Secretary.
(3) The funds of the Board shall be applied in managing,
administering, and improving the Park as to secure to the
public the proper use and enjoyment thereof for the purposes
of health and recreation.
(4) All reasonable expenses properly incurred by the
Board may be paid out of moneys in its account.

REGULATION 3.—ACCOUNTS.

(1) Proper books of account and other books shall be kept
by the Board in which shall be entered correct records of all
moneys received and paid out by the Board.
(2) Within twenty-eight days after the close of each financial
year ending on the 31st day of March, the Board shall cause
to be prepared and submitted to the Audit Office for audit a
statement of assets and liabilities together with a statement
of accounts (including a Receipts and Payments Account)
and showing fully the financial position of the Board at the
close of the year.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in Ngaturi Township.
Makuri Survey District, Wellington Land District.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
November, 1938.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section
seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks
Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby cancel the reservation for public building
purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto;
and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the
Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land
Act, 1924.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 1, Ngaturi Township, Block VIII, Makuri Survey
District: Area, 2 roods 28·1 perches, more or less.
