THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Major B. A. Norman, the Manawatu Mounted Rifles, is
appointed to command the Regimental Depot, and remains
seconded to “B” Squadron, 4th Composite Mounted Rifles
Regiment (Motorized). Dated 1st June, 1938.
Major W. R. Pigou, the Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles,
is appointed to command the Regimental Depot, and
remains seconded to “C” Squadron, 4th Composite
Mounted Rifles Regiment (Motorized). Dated 17th May,
1938.
Major H. G. Carruth, E.D., the North Auckland Mounted
Rifles, is appointed to command the Regimental Depot,
and remains seconded to the 1st Composite Mounted Rifles
Regiment. Dated 1st June, 1938.
Major C. A. LeLievre, the Hauraki Regiment, is appointed
to command the Regimental Depot, and remains seconded
to the 1st Composite Battalion. Dated 1st September,
1937.
Major G. G. Hancock, E.D., the Wellington West Coast Regi-
ment, is appointed to command the Regimental Depot.
Dated 11th October, 1937.
Major C. M. Rout, E.D., the Nelson, Marlborough, and West
Coast Regiment, is appointed to command the Regimental
Depot, dated 16th September, 1937, and is seconded to
the 3rd Composite Battalion, dated 22nd August, 1938.
Major T. Mathews, the Southland Regiment, is appointed to
command the Regimental Depot. Dated 16th September,
1937.
Captain H. G. Wooller, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed
Adjutant, North Auckland Mounted Rifles (Regimental
Depot) in addition to his present appointments. Dated
1st September, 1937.
Captain C. Shuttleworth, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed
Adjutant, the Hauraki Regiment (Regimental Depot) in
addition to his present appointments. Dated 1st Sep-
tember, 1937.
Lieutenant H. H. McDonald, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed
Adjutant, the Waikato Regiment (Regimental Depot) in
addition to his present appointment. Dated 15th De-
cember, 1937.
Captain J. W. Barry, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Adjutant,
the Manawatu Mounted Rifles (Regimental Depot) in
addition to his present appointments. Dated 1st Sep-
tember, 1937.
Lieutenant W. H. Alexander, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed
Adjutant, the Taranaki Regiment (Regimental Depot).

Major C. T. Gillespie, M.C., is posted to the Retired List,
with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed

Captain R. B. Hardy, E.D., 1st Artillery Brigade Group, is
transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 1.

Lieutenant H. M. Evans ceases to be posted to the 18th Anti-
Aircraft Battery and is posted to the 3rd Field Battery.

N.Z. CORPS OF SIGNALS.
George Lawrence Agar, B.Sc., A.M.I.E.E., to be Lieutenant
(on probation), is granted the temporary rank of Captain
and is posted to the Central Depot. Dated 1st July, 1938.
James Colin McIntosh, M.Sc., to be Lieutenant (on probation)
and is posted to the Central Depot. Dated 1st July, 1938.
Robert Lamb Crosby Grant, B.Sc., to be Lieutenant (on
probation) and is posted to the Southern Depot. Dated
1st July, 1938.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Lieutenant-Colonel F. W. Kemp, M.C., E.D., M.D., M.R.C.S.
Eng., L.R.C.P. Lond., relinquishes the appointment of
Assistant Director of Medical Services, Army Headquarters,
and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Central Military
District. Dated 20th September, 1938.

transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand
Military Forces :-
STAFF AND COMMANDS.
Captain L. W. Andrew, V.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes
the appointments of Adjutant, 2nd Field Ambulance, from
31st May, 1938, and Adjutant, 1st Battalion, The Wel-
lington Regiment (City of Wellington's Own), from 14th
August, 1938, and is appointed Assistant Adjutant and
Quartermaster-General, Central Military District, dated
15th August, 1938.
Captain S. F. Allen, N.Z. Staff Corps, ceases to be attached
to Army Headquarters, Wellington, and is appointed
Instructor at the Central Military District School of In-
struction, Trentham. Dated 15th August, 1938.
Lieutenant E. J. Horwood, M.Sc., N.Z. Staff Corps, is
appointed Assistant Area Officer, Area 5, in addition to
his present appointment. Dated 1st June, 1938.
Lieutenant E. W. S. Williams, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes
the appointment of Assistant Area Officer, Area 5, and is
appointed Adjutant, 2nd Field Ambulance, dated 1st
