Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of Public Buildings of the General Government in the City of Wellington.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of October, 1938.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of public buildings of the General Government.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land permitted to be taken:—

0 0 14·89 Section 474, Town of Wellington; coloured blue.
0 0 12·77 Section 474, Town of Wellington; coloured yellow.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 100583, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Certain Lands in respect of which there are no Electors included in the City of Auckland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of October, 1938.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-nine of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the boundaries of the City of Auckland are hereby altered so as to include within the limits of the said city the lands described in the Schedule hereto, being lands in respect of which there are no electors adjacent to the said city.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Lot 3 on Plan 19485 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence by right lines bearing 32° 50′ 50″ distance 85·0 links, bearing 122° 50′ 50″ distance 66·5 links, bearing 34° 40′ distance 79·7 links; thence north-westerly by the abutment of St. Mary’s Road for a distance of 64·6 links to the easternmost corner of Lot 3 aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in Waiotahi Parish, Opotiki Survey District, Gisborne Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of October, 1938.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for quarry purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 400, Waiotahi Parish, Block I, Opotiki Survey District: Area, 19 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less.

Cancelling the Vesting of Part of a Reserve in the Ohakune Borough Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of October, 1938.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of a reserve for gravel purposes, and is vested in the Ohakune Borough Council;
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Ohakune Borough Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Ohakune Borough Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Borough of Ohakune, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being part of Section 7, Ohakune Village Settlement, Block V, Karori Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east, south-east, and south-west by right lines commencing at a point on the Mangawhero Terrace distant 251·57 links from the westernmost corner of Section 9, Ohakune Village Settlement, and proceeding thence by lines bearing 131° 44′ 15″ for a distance of 270·99 links, 221° 44′ 15″ distance 181·39 links, and 311° 44′ 15″ distance 270·92 links to the Mangawhero Terrace; thence in a north-easterly direction by the said terrace for distances of 45·41 links and 136·63 links to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered 20157, lodged in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of Reserves in Borough of Timaru, Canterbury Land District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of October, 1938.

WHEREAS a notice of intention to issue an Order in Council declaring that the reservation over the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall be changed from a reserve for a public park and a reserve for the purposes of public recreation and enjoyment for the inhabitants of the Borough of Timaru, respectively, to a reserve for a hospital-site was published in the Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight :
