CROWN LANDS NOTICE.

Town Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 24th August, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 26th September, 1938.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 28th September, 1938, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, weighting for improvements, and lease fee.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.

Waimarino County.—Karioi Survey District.

SECTION 30, Township of Ninia: Area, 1 acre. Capital value, £7; half-yearly rent, 5s. 6d.

Weighted with £1 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising 1¼ chains fencing.

This section is situated half a mile by metalled road from Karioi. It is level tussock land, and the soil is of light loam resting on shingle and pumice formation.

Waimarino County.—Mangamai Survey District.

Section 2, Block II, Horopito West Township: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £5; half-yearly rent, 2s. 6d.

Weighted with £5 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising 4 chains fencing and old whare.

This section is situated about one-quarter of a mile from the Horopito Post-office and Railway-station. It is level and grassed and the soil is a light quality loam resting on shingle formation. The general quality is only fair.

STATE FOREST SERVICE NOTICES.

Milling-timber for Sale by Public Tender.

State Forest Service,
Auckland, 17th August, 1938.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for the purchase of the undermentioned milling-timber will close at the office of the State Forest Service, Auckland, at 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 26th September, 1938.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.—NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

THE milling-trees are numbered and situated on that area containing approximately 428 acres in Block VIII, Waipoua Survey District (State Forest No. 13), about two miles and a half from Donnelly’s Crossing Railway-station.
