Notice of Incorporation under Part XVII of the Native Land Act, 1931.

IT is hereby notified that by Order of the Native Land Court dated 2nd June, 1938, the owners of the Waikohu A 1 Block were constituted a body corporate under Part XVII of the Native Land Act, 1931, by the name of “The Proprietors of the Waikohu A 1 Block.”

Fireblight Committee Elections under the Fireblight Committee Regulations, 1928.

DECLARATION OF ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF THE FIREBLIGHT COMMITTEE OF THE GISBORNE COMMERCIAL FRUITGROWING DISTRICT.

I, THOMAS McALISTER DRAIN, Returning Officer for the purpose of the Fireblight Committee Election under the Fireblight Committee Regulations, 1928, do hereby declare that the following candidates have been duly nominated for the election of members of the Fireblight Committee of the Gisborne Commercial Fruitgrowing District, nominations for which closed at Wellington at noon on the 18th day of August, 1938 :—

Bell, Percival George,
Dick, William Carrol,
Hall, Alvin Gardner,
Hardy, James Cecil, and
Kirk, Frederick Thomas.

As the number of candidates nominated does not exceed the number of members to be elected (5), I hereby declare the said Percival George Bell, William Carrol Dick, Alvin Gardner Hall, James Cecil Hardy, and Frederick Thomas Kirk to be duly elected.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section 3 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921-22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed William Rupert Evans of the Public Trust Office, Stratford, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Stratford, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters from any cause, and all previous warrants appointing any Deputy of the said District Public Trustee have been revoked.

Unclaimed Lands.

NOTICE BY THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE UNDER THE PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE ACT, 1908 (PART II), AND ITS AMENDMENTS.

TO the owner of that parcel of land containing 50 acres, more or less, situated in the Parish of Te Papa in the County of Cook, and being Allotment No. 462, bounded on the north-east by a line 1450 links, on the east by a line 940 links, on the south-east by a line 1063 links, on the south-west by a road 100 links wide, 2275 links, and on the north-west by Allotment No. 461, 2240 links, and being all the land comprised and described in unregistered Crown Grant S. 105 to James Slater, sometime private 1st Regiment Waikato Militia, dated the 13th day of December, 1869 : Whereas after due inquiry the owner of the above-described land cannot be found :

And whereas the said owner has no known agent in New Zealand :

Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls on such owner within six months from the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said land, and if such owner fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee will exercise with regard to the said land the powers and authorities granted to him in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.
