A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land in Halswell Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as road :—

0 0 5·7 Reserve 3598 ; coloured blue.
0 1 6·1 Reserve 1107 ; coloured red.

Situated in Block X, Halswell Survey District. (Canterbury R.D.). (L.P. 1301.)

In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 97680, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of August, 1938.

Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District proclaimed to be Ordinary Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924 :

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is settlement land within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925 :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WHANGAREI COUNTY.
ALL that area situated in Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District, containing by admeasurement 330 acres 0 roods 19·8 perches, more or less, being part Section 2s, Aponga Settlement, bounded as follows : Commencing at a point on the southern boundary of Section 16, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District, distant 1277·7 links from the south-eastern corner of that section ; thence towards the north by Section 16 aforesaid, parts Section 15A on D.P. 10489 and D.P. 27197 respectively ; towards the east generally by part Section 15A on D.P. 10701 and Allotment 22, Otakairangi Parish ; towards the south by Section 3s, Aponga Settlement, for a distance of 3905·8 links ; and towards the west generally by other part of Section 2s, Aponga Settlement, following right lines 27° 25′, 335·5 links ; 336° 17′, 833·9 links ; 332° 36′, 816·0 links ; 341° 58′, 508·5 links ; 299° 41′, 293·4 links ; 311° 40′, 1040·1 links ; 334° 06′, 1101·4 links ; and 331° 34′, 2111·6 links to the point of commencement : Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 21/149/576A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “ the said Act ”), has recommended that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 31 acres 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 1214 (formerly part of Section 2189 and Crown land), situated in Block VII, Waiho Survey District. (S.O. 3357.) As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/26A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

All that area containing 16 acres 0 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 1216 (formerly part of Section 2405), situated in Block VII, Waiho Survey District. (S.O. 3356.) As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/26B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 5th day of August, 1938.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Napier Town-planning Regulations, 1931, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby on the application of the Napier Borough Council, declare the Napier (Marewa) Town-planning Scheme, 1936, being the scheme submitted to the Town-planning Board on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, to be urgent.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of August, 1938.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Kaitaia Town Board (hereinafter called “ the said local authority ”) of the sum of twelve thousand three hundred and sixty pounds (£12,360) by a loan to be known as “ Water Supply Loan, 1936 ” (hereinafter called “ the said loan ”) :
