Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License
under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Pharmacy (Dispensing of Prescriptions).

I HEREBY give notice that an application has been
received from G. Davidson for a license to transfer
the Grand Pharmacy from premises at 270 High Street,
Christchurch, to a new site in Peterson's Building almost
immediately opposite.

Any person who considers he may be materially affected
by the decision of the Bureau in respect to this application,
and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must
furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the
undersigned not later than 12th August, 1938.

Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirit.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received
from—

(1) R. Hutchinson, for a license to sell (retail) motor-
sprit at Oreti Sands, Invercargill.

(2) MacLeans Motors, Ltd. for a license to sell (retail)
motor-spirit from three petrol pumps proposed to
be installed in the form of a “drive-through”
service station on the company’s premises at the
corner of Wairere Street and Clifton Road, Whaka-
tane.

(3) W. L. Brinkworth, for permission to transfer one
petrol pump from his premises in Barton Street to
a garage property in Bryce Street, Hamilton, and to
operate as an additional unit one petrol pump
already installed at these latter premises.

(4) Tantrum’s Garage, for permission to move two petrol
pumps from their present position in Oxford Street,
Levin, to a new site on premises between “Blacks”
Service Station and the intersection of Oxford and
Bath Streets.

(5) C. E. Fisher, for permission to move two petrol pumps
from their present position to a new position on the
northern corner of the intersection of High and
Brunswick Streets, Lower Hutt.

(6) Jesse Stone, Limited, for a license to sell (retail) motor-
sprit in drums at the company’s premises in
Methven.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected
by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications,
and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must
furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the
undersigned not later than the 16th August, 1938. All repre-
sentations must set out clearly the grounds for same and
include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of
petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the
person making the representations.

Election of Producers’ Representatives on the New Zealand
Fruit-export Control Board.

Pursuant to the Fruit-export Control Board Election
Regulations, 1938, and for the purposes of the election of
producers’ representatives on the New Zealand Fruit-
export Control Board for the respective provincial districts
set forth in the Schedule hereto, notice is hereby given that
a copy of the rolls of producers in the said provincial districts
has been deposited for public inspection during ordinary
office hours in the respective local offices of the Department
of Agriculture set opposite the name of each such district in
the said Schedule.

Land Surveyors’ Examination, September, 1938.—Australia
and New Zealand.

The Survey Board of New Zealand,
Wellington, 28th July, 1938.

I t is hereby notified for general information that the
Survey Board, in conjunction with the Australian
Surveyors’ Board, will conduct an examination of candidates
for registration as surveyors, commencing at 10 a.m., on
Monday, 19th September, at Wellington.

Candidates are notified that their applications, on the
proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not
later than Monday, 4th September, and that the examination
fee must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from
whom application forms and other particulars may be
obtained.

Candidates sitting under Rule VIII (1) will be accepted
at this examination, and, with candidates completing former
sittings, may sit in other centres where there is a Chief
Surveyor’s Office.

Examination in all subjects, fee of £5 5s. New candidates
for the full examination will sit in Wellington.

4, inclusive, on completion of two years in articles, and for
