WALLACE COUNTY.
All that area in the Southland Land District bounded as
follows: Towards the north-east generally by Lake County
as described in the First Schedule to the Counties Act, 1876,
from Bligh Sound to Hummock Peak; towards the east
generally by the Southland County hereinbefore described
to the ocean; towards the south generally by the ocean;
towards the west generally by the summit of the watershed
from Sandhill Point to the Hump; thence by lines from peak
to peak to the Billow Mountains: thence by the summit of
the Billow Mountains, the Hunter Mountains, the Kepler
Mountains, and the Murchison Mountains over Mount Lyall
to Barrier Peaks; thence by a right line to the nearest arm
of George Sound; and thence by the ocean to the point of
commencement save and excepting therefrom the Borough
of Riverton and the Town Districts of Otatau and Nightcaps.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
WAIMATUKU RIDING.—WALLACE COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District being part
of the Wallace County and bounded as follows: Towards
the north by the Fairfax-Calcium Road; towards the west
generally by the Jacobs River and the Jacobs River Estuary
to the ocean; towards the south by the ocean to the mouth
of the Waimatuku Stream; towards the east generally by
the Southland County hereinbefore described save and
excepting therefrom that part of the Borough of Riverton
within the above-described boundaries.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of
July, 1938.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block XI, Belmont
Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired
to be constructed over Block XI, Belmont Survey District,
shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point on the eastern boundary of the old
Johnsonville-Khandallah Road in part Section 6 (C.T.
352/228), Porirua Registration District, Block XI, Belmont
Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly
direction generally for a distance of approximately five chains,
passing in, into, through, or over the said part Section 6,
and terminating at a point on the boundary between the said
part Section 6 and part Section 5 (C.T. 454/60), Porirua
Registration District, Block XI, Belmont Survey District;
including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves,
roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all
in the Wellington Land District. As the same is delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 100119, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of
August, 1938.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908
(hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended
that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be
permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient
to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said
Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the
said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
GORDON PARK (MATAMATA) SCENIC RESERVE—AUCKLAND
LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District in the Matamata
County containing by admeasurement 4,490 acres 3 roods
23 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XI, XV, and
XVI, Wairere Survey District, and Blocks IV and IVa,
Tapapa Survey District, being part of Okauia No. 1 Block,
and being all the land contained in Certificate of Title,
Volume 695, folio 57, Auckland registry; bounded towards
the north generally by Maurihoro A Block (Scenic Reserve,
Gazette, 1936, page 2188); towards the east generally by
Lot 1 on D.P. 5156, Lots 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 on D.P. 5099,
part of Whakamarama No. 2 Block, Lot 22 on aforesaid
D.P. 5099, Mangatotara No. 1a Block, Section 3, Block II, and
Section 1, Block IV, Opoutihi Survey District (State Forest,
Gazette, 1938, page 1087); towards the south generally by
the northern boundary of the land on D.P. 7148 to a point
on that boundary distant 200 links east of the easternmost
corner of Okauia No. 4b Block; thence by the eastern,
southern, and again eastern boundaries of a strip of land
100 links wide adjoining the northern boundary of the land
on D.P. 7148 and the northern and western boundaries of
Lot 12 on D.P. 6606, which said strip of land is part of the
land on D.P. 7148 and part of Lot 12 on D.P. 6606 to and
by a public road; towards the west generally by Lot 13 on
D.P. 6606, Okauia No. 4b and No. 4e 3 Blocks, Section 4,
Block IV, Tapapa Survey District, Section 9 and part of
Section 2, Block XV, Wairere Survey District (State Forest,
