ERRATA.—In the second column of the Schedule to the notice by the Board of Native Affairs dated the 22nd day of July, 1938, and published in Gazette No. 57 of the 28th day of July, 1938, at pages 1747 and 1748, for Waiohoata A No. 21c 1 (part) Block read Waiohoata A No. 12c 1 (part) Block, and opposite the Block “Torere Section 45” insert the name “Waiohoata” before the description “A No. 24a” in lieu of “Awaawakino.”

Altering Boundaries of Southland and Wallace Counties and including Areas in Waimatuku Riding, Wallace County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section fourteen of the Counties Act, 1920, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas described in the First Schedule hereto, being now part of the Southland County, shall be added to and form part of the Wallace County; that the boundaries of the Southland and Wallace Counties as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto; that the areas added as aforesaid to the Wallace County shall be included in the Waimatuku Riding of the said county; and that the boundaries of the Waimatuku Riding as so altered shall be those set forth in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM SOUTHLAND COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN WALLACE COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing 55 acres, be the same a little more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in the middle of the old course of the Waimatuku Stream, in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 10, Block XIX, New River Hundred, the said point being also in line with the middle of the new channel; thence south-westerly along the middle of the new channel, this being also the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 10 aforesaid to the southern corner thereof; thence south-westerly again on a bearing of 203° 30′ to the middle of the Waimatuku Stream a distance of approximately 150 links; thence northerly and easterly generally along the middle of the Waimatuku Stream to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the Southland Land District containing 138 acres, be the same a little more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in the middle of the Waimatuku Stream approximately 1050 links west and 400 links north of the eastern corner of Section 1A, Block XIX, New River Hundred; thence south-easterly on a bearing of 172° 45′ along the middle of the new channel to the middle of the Waimatuku Stream a distance of approximately 3650 links; thence north-westerly and easterly generally along the middle of the Waimatuku Stream to the point of commencement.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 103/10/2, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded as follows: Towards the north generally by Lake County and Vincent County respectively as described in the First Schedule to the Counties Act, 1876, from Hummock Peak on the eastern boundary of Wallace County to the north-western corner of Tuapeka County; towards the east generally by Tuapeka County and Clutha County as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 30th December, 1882, page 1955, and the New Zealand Gazette of the 6th February, 1913, page 451 respectively; towards the south generally by the ocean; towards the west generally by a line along the middle of the Waimatuku Stream to a point in line with the middle of the new channel through Sections 2A and 1A, Block XIX, New River Hundred, approximately 1750 links south-east from the western corner of the aforesaid Section 2A; thence to and along the middle-line of the said new channel on a bearing of 352° 45′ to the middle-line of the said Waimatuku Stream; again by the middle-line of the said Waimatuku Stream to a point in line with the middle-line of the said new channel; thence on a bearing of 23° 30′ to and along the middle-line of the said new channel to the south-eastern corner of Section 10, Block XIX, New River Hundred; again along the middle-line of the said new channel which follows the south-eastern boundary of Section 10 aforesaid to the middle-line of the said Waimatuku Stream; again by the middle-line of the said Waimatuku Stream to the middle of the road forming the southern boundary of Section 25, Block III, Oreti Hundred; thence by the middle-line of the said road to the middle-line of the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 69, Block III aforesaid; thence along the middle-line of the said road which also forms the
