SOUTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the South Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000) authorized to be raised by the South Canterbury Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of electric works and such other matters as are provided for by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and amendments thereto, for the benefit of the South Canterbury Electric-power Board Area, the said South Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·02 pence in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (being the capital value) of all rateable property within the whole of the area of the South Canterbury Electric-power Board, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring one during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the lst day of March in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six (26) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
