A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Greymouth-Hokitika Railway to take further land at Karoro in addition to land previously acquired for the purpose of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Defining the Middle-lines of Portions of a Road in Blocks II, III, and VIII, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., Portions of the Plimmerton-Paekakariki Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-lines of the portions of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks II, III, and VIII, Paekakariki Survey District—viz., portions of the Plimmerton-Paekakariki Road—shall be those defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits as defined on the plans marked P.W.D. 99809 and 99810 referred to in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
FIRST that deviation commencing at a point opposite the southern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 11272, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 15 chains 25·9 links, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., Lots 49 and 48, D.P. 729, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District, and terminating at a point at the northern end of St. Andrew’s Road, Plimmerton Township, opposite the northern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 9683, Block VIII, Paekakariki Survey District.
Secondly, that deviation commencing at a point opposite the western corner of Lot 10, D.P. 1977, Block III, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 17 chains 95 links and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., part Section 10A, Wainui District, Block III, Paekakariki Survey District, and terminating at a point opposite the southern boundary of part Section 10, Wainui District (D.P. 6848), Block II, Paekakariki Survey District including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses ; all in the Wellington Land District. As the same are delineated on the plans marked P.W.D. 99809 and 99810 respectively, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
